Nathan and Hannah leave for Haiti

We are off to Haiti by the strength and power of God. Yesterday morning I awoke abruptly at 4:00am very ill. By 8:30am after dragging myself to work, I could barely hold my head up. Many began to pray and with the care of the nurses and doctors at work, I was able to get up and go home about noon. With a mountain of things still to do, the doctor told me not to do anything but rest. I slept most of the day and Nathan took care of all of the last minute things, as well as took care of me.

Dad picked us up at 2:00am this morning and I was feeling a good bit better - praying this good feeling lasts and continues to get better.

Our trip to Haiti this year will be much different than trips in the past. Our last 2 trips were spent sharing the gospel with the people of Haiti. This year our focus will be on encouraging and ministering to the missionary kids who are living and serving in Haiti everyday.

We will be in Haiti for 3 days serving mostly at Cowman school including triainng teachers in song-leading and delivering song books for them to use during their weekly chapel. On Saturday we head to the Dominican Republic with the whole team of OMS missionaries for their annual spiritual retreat. Another couple has flown in to facilitate the adult sessions, and Nathan and I will be leading the kids sessions.

We are excited to see how God works in the lives of the missionary kids and in us. Please continue to pray that He would have His way in each of us. We will send updates as often as possible.
